Local Area InformationThe village is famous for its whitewashed houses and also for its hanging baskets which are displayed throughout from village houses The village also has some fantastic walking tracks As you wander the steep and narrow streets you can imagine where donkeys once walked Brighly painted houses with colourful doors adorn the narrow passages At the top you will find an interesting if not plain church Opposite is a pleasant square to rest and enjoy a traditional meal There are many fine restaurants hiding away and you must seek them out Within a short distance there are 15 restaurants listed by Mitchelin The mirador at the top has particularly impressive views while you eat You will find ample tiny shops in which to buy the local handicrafts which include fine basketware linen and lace as well as beautiful ceramic wares but you will not find supermarkets and large stores
