The cottage has a comfortable sitting room with settee and easy chairs, TV and video, a dining kitchen with fridge, freezer, microwave and washing machine, two double bedrooms, one with a double and a single bed and the other with a double bed. Bathroom with toilet, wahbasin, and bath with shower over. Heated throughout with storage radiators and a log burning stove for cooler days.

About Weather/Climate/TemperatureIn the summer, the weather is very hot, but in there is almost always a sea breeze that just takes the sting out of the mid-day sun. In May/June and September/October it is a bit cooler but still very warm. The winter period (November to March) is the best time for playing golf and exploring Andalucia by car. The temperatures are very pleasant and the skies are blue. You would be very unlucky to get a week of rain but the odd day or few hours has to be accepted as it is winter after all. One can even swim in the sea in winter as it still is reasonably warm from the summer months. The evenings do tend to be cool so you would be advised to bring a sweater or a jacket when you go out.

Local Area Information

The tiny village of Birchover nestles among the trees and hills of the Peak District. The surrounding landscape is truly magnificent and lies within 5 miles of the historic Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall. For the avid walker or sightseer the area compares with any in Britain. Birchover is 5 miles from the market town of Bakewell and 7 miles from the small town of Matlock.
