Cottage in England, United Kingdom

Property Description

A delightful cottage conversion of part of the old Mill House next to the site of Blythburgh’s former wooden windmill, set in beautifully landscaped gardens which have been thoughtfully divided for the owners who live next door, and their guests.

The living area is small but beautifully designed and furnished with compact kitchen unit containing a sink and cupboard, plus a 2 ring electric hob, separate microwave with grill and a small fridge. Adjacent to the kitchen unit is the living area with dining table and a comfortable sofa, TV/Video and DVD.

The hall provides access to the downstairs WC with hand basin, under stairs storage cupboard and the turned staircase leading to the bathroom and spacious bedroom, with large window giving views on to the garden. The bathroom is lined with tongue and groove pine, with hand basin and good lighting above and a bath with shower over. The bedroom has a large bed with bedside tables and lamps, some attractive Scandanavian antique cabinets and dressing table. Small armchairs are also provided but also leave some room for a travel cot if required.

Work on the garden is in progress but garden furniture is available. Some traffic noise can be heard from the A12 and recreational activities close by but the design of the garden aims to mitigate this as much as possible.

The village of Blythburgh is well known for its church known locally as ‘The Cathedral on the Marsh’ and for its carved angels on the ceiling. The village also has a shop, post office and pub providing food, a children’s play area and a good variety of footpaths along the estuary to Walberswick and Southwold, and also along the River Blyth. The Heritage Coast is famous for its beaches, bird watching and walking but inland there is a wealth of historical towns and villages, beautiful gardens to explore and an excellent range of restaurants and pubs in which to dine.

2 small, well behaved pets are welcome and the following rules must be observed;

Dogs must be under control in the garden because of the owners' cat next door
Poop-a-scooping in the garden,
No animals on the furniture, please!
