Casa Mariposa is a recently renovated traditional Spanish farmhouse with original timber beams and a beautiful terrace with magnificent views. It is situated on a quiet track among the olive groves in the hills above the village of Las Casillas.

The accommodation comprises one double bedroom, one smaller double bedroom, one single bedroom, shower room, lounge, dining room and kitchen. There is a large terrace to the front with magnificent views of the surrounding hills. Suitable for 2 to 5 people.

The accommodation is on a self catering basis . The farmhouse is provided with bedding and towels. Fully equipped kitchen, fridge, freezer, hob, oven, microwave, toaster, kettle, washing machine, iron. To the lounge there is a log burning stove and satellite television. Fans are provided for the summer and the log burning stove and heaters for the winter. There is access to a telephone and the internet.

This is a mountainous area with good cycling walking along tracks through the olive groves up onto the hills and mountains around There is a reservoir at the bottom of the valley and the scenery is much greener than on the coast Several Spanish ramblers clubs walk pass the house This area of Spain is quite historical with numerous historic cities within easy travelling distance not least Cordoba Granada Jaen Main attractions are Alhambra Generalife and Mezquita Mayor There are numerous fiestas throughout the year including our local fiesta in May The village of Casillas de Martos is approximately 4 km away with several tapas bars restaurants doctors chemist basic shop and bakery The local towns of Alcaudete and Martos are approximately 12 km away The historic cities of Granada and Cordoba are 1 hours drive away Jaen is slightly closer There is also the magnificent village of Zuheros approximately 30km away
